THE ARK and Other Local Needs
The Ark is a Christian foundation whose mission is to provide basic good quality emergency supportive accommodation for people aged 18 and over.
It operates the 'Mary Cole House' hostel for the homeless and also 'Arkangel' which is dispersed 'move on' houses in the community. The Ark constantly needs volunteers and donations of food and money. The address of the Ark is Mary Cole House, 6, Sandford Street, Birkenhead Tel: 0151 649 0111.

Holy Name and St Peter's
There is a yellow basket in the church porch for donations of dried goods.

Also, there is practical support for the Women's Refuge by way of gifts and work for the Children's Society
St Michael and All Angels
There is a basket in the church porch for donations of dried goods toiletries and clothing. Also, there is a prayer ministry organised at the Arc by parishioner Mairie Gelling.
St Joseph's Upton
Provides food throughout the year.
St Joseph's Birkenhead
Have collections particularly around Christmas
Also, for the benefit of Forum Housing the parish arranges regular collections of toiletries etc. for 16-25yr olds.
