Funerals are normally conducted in the Parish where the person lived. People, however, have the right to have the funeral somewhere else connected with a personís life. Most Parishes will accommodate peopleís wishes where possible. Undertakers are the ones who co-ordinate the time and place according to their own commitments, availability of cemetery, availability of ministers and family wishes. Nothing should be arranged without speaking to an undertaker first. If you wish to have a Church service followed by the funeral please make your wishes known initially to the undertaker. The undertaker will then liaise with the Parish Priest.
